Global Biodiesel Ltd changes its name to Methes Energies International Ltd

New York, October 10, 2007 – Global Biodiesel Ltd today announced that effective on October 11, 2007, the Company changed its name to Methes Energies International Ltd.
Furthermore, Global Biodiesel Ltd also announced that it’s wholly owned subsidiary Clean Bioenergy Ltd has effected a name change to Methes Energies USA Ltd.
Methes Energies Inc., our Canadian subsidiary, has also file to change its name to Methes Energies Canada Inc.
The new name draws upon the company’s new acquisition of Methes Energies Inc’s significant brand recognition in the biodiesel sector. The rational for the name “Methes” can be found in the chemical name for biodiesel – Methyl Esters. The first four (4) letters of Methyl and the first two (2) letters of Esters were used to create the name “Methes”.
“For over three years the name Methes Energies has been synonymous with innovation and leadership in the biodiesel sector. It only makes sense to capitalize on the image and reputation that has been carefully build over the last few years,” said Michel G. Laporte, president of Global Biodiesel Ltd.
