Methes Energies Canada Inc. Welcomes Visit of
Small Business and Consumer Services Minister Harinder S. Takhar

New York, October 17, 2008 – The Honourable Minister of Small Business and Consumer Services Harinder Takhar visited today the production facility of Methes Energies Canada Inc. located in Mississauga, Ontario. During his visit, the Minister met with the Methes Energies management team, as well as with employees, clients, friends and family members.

“As pioneers in clean biodiesel production, Methes Energies Canada exemplifies the importance of innovation and hard work”, said Minister Takhar.  “Methes and all of Ontario small businesses are the drivers of our economy; they are important contributors of innovation, investment, and job creation in our province.  It is for this reason that we pay a special tribute to our small businesses every October during Salute to Small Business Month.”

After visiting the facility and addressing the event’s attending group, the Minister presented Mr. John Loewen, President of Methes Energies Canada Inc., with an Award of Recognition on behalf of the Government of Ontario.

After the Minister’s visit, John Loewen commented: “I was honored and delighted that Minister Takhar could visit our facility. His attitude was great and he took a serious interest in what we had to say, as well as what we are doing here.”
