Methes Energies Signs an Off Take Agreement
for New Facility in Sombra, Ontario

New York, May 23, 2008 – Methes Energies International Ltd. announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Methes Energies Canada Inc., has signed an agreement with Gulf Hydrocarbon Inc. on the purchase of the total biodiesel production that will be produced at Methes’ new 6.6 million gallons per year (25 million liters) biodiesel facility in Sombra, Ontario, Canada.

The exact price that Gulf Hydrocarbon Inc. will be paying for Methes’ biodiesel will remain confidential for commercial reasons, however, it can be mentioned that included in the factors used in the calculation, will be the floating price equal to the sum of the regional ultra low sulfur diesel price per gallon.  Under the agreement, Methes Energies has the right to reserve up to 10 percent of its monthly biodiesel production toward supplying its other clients.  The term of the agreement is for one year, at which time an automatic renewal will apply, unless it is terminated by either party upon a 30 days notice to that effect.

Gulf Hydrocarbon, Inc. is the premier provider of biodiesel to the petroleum industry. The company was established in 1997 and offers competitively-priced biodiesel for large end-users. Gulf Hydrocarbon Inc. is a member of the National Biodiesel Board.

Commenting on the agreement, Nicholas Ng, Director of Business Development said, “We are extremely pleased to have reached an agreement with Gulf Hydrocarbon that provides for a win-win situation for both parties, as well as some peace of mind for us moving forward. With such an agreement in place, Methes Energies will be able to focus on not only producing more biodiesel, but also furthering the sales of our biodiesel processor, the Denami 600”.

Methes Energies already has a similar off take agreement with Gulf Hydrocarbon Inc. for its 1.3 million gallons per year (5 million liters) production facility in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
