Methyl Esters is the chemical name for biodiesel.
We used the first four (4) letters of Methyl and the first 2 letters (2) of esters to form a new short name. Hence, that was how METHES was created.

Dark green was used as our primary color. This color implies wealth, security and safety. Green is also associated with nature.

Dark orange was used as our secondary color. This color signifies energy, balance and friendliness.

Our Story

Methes Energies was founded by technical and financial experts in 2004 to capitalize on the growing demand for renewable energy, surging energy prices and the value of biodiesel fuel as a practical and realistic long term replacement for conventional diesel fuel.

In 2007, Methes Energies introduced the industry’s first, compact, fully automated state-of-the-art continuous flow biodiesel processor that can run on a wide variety of feedstocks. The unit is the most reliable and cost effective method of producing quality top grade B100 biodiesel fuel, which meets or exceeds current ASTM standards in 5M liters (1.3M gallons) per year increments. Additionally, it is the only commercially available fully automated compact unit on the market today!

While the North American demand for biodiesel is sizeable, Methes Energies is positioned for global expansion with a focus on expanding into Europe, South America, Africa and China, as biodiesel needs grow in those markets.
